New possibilities

Until a few years ago, laser applications in acupuncture have only been used with single-channel (Handy) lasers and already achieved remarkable documented clinical results, especially for children with a thin skin. A scientific proof of the exact effects of ZNS could not be provided.

The first multi-channel system (Laserneedle®-System) was developed by the physicist Schikora in cooperation with the Weber Medical, with the latter having introduced it in clinical applications. In addition to excellent clinical effects, Professor Litscher from Graz could also provide manifold proofs of effect on the ZNS by using the neuromonitoring method. A new world of laser acupuncture has begun.

The most important advantage of laserneedles is the highly increased power and energy density because of the needle-like end of the optical fibre.
